Duties will include administrative support of our sales, research and marketing programs. We seek reliable and enterprising candidates who have attained junior year status with a minimum 3.0 GPA and verifiable references. All majors will be considered. Strong analytic, organization and communications skills are essential. Technological skills, such as Google Analytics and HTML/CSS coding, will expand your scope of experience at The Townsend Group, but are not required.

Our interns are supervised and supported by senior-level media sales professionals in skills that will prepare them for careers in publishing, media, association management, communications, public relations, advertising and other business disciplines.

Our internship program allows interns to become familiar with market-share and comparative reporting tools, which are critical to the media industry, as well as database management, promotional campaigns, digital strategies, and sales support. These learning objectives will coincide with other day-to-day duties.

The Townsend Group understands that internships are an important stepping-stone to a professional career. Our program provides hands-on, entry-level experience with foundational business skills. The Townsend Group may consider interns for full-time job opportunities upon graduation, and will provide recommendations for those who seek other employment.

Academic year internships have flexible hours to be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
